| boston, ma, usa, 2004. very good clam chowder and lobster. modern buildings, a lot of digging where they are placing the major 'thru' road underground and covering it with grass. neat idea, and it's taking a while. good culture going on in a slightly european feeling american city. blue man group very good fun, large portions of food and a prominent service culture. lots of irish bars and tourist traps such as cheers bar, happy atmosphere and enthusiastic people. lots of tulips, and certain streets feel like amsterdam. but there's no smoking in central bars. cars are king, but there are nice parks. the baseball team is in the shadow of NY due to babe ruth's sol campbell like defection...80 odd years ago! |
